Responsibilities & Specific Tasks
- Operationally lead a Front of House (FoH) team at a leading global corporate organisation, acting as first line leadership to all incidents, their management and escalation procedures
- Develop and lead others deliver a first-class customer service relations with client staff, visitors, business partners, key stakeholders, including site security team
- Responsible for leading and coordinating the Front of House security team while maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Supervision of FoH security staff to include assigning daily duties, scheduling shifts, and monitoring of service delivery and performance to ensure essential coverage and adherence to security protocols
- Conduct supervisory administration of all routine tasks and operational procedures at all times and in times of emergency
- To work with other service partners to ensure that any equipment faults are reported quickly
- Regular 1-2-1 meetings to check objectives are being met with shift team and annual appraisal completion and review
- Deal effectively with absences, Return to Work, under performance and conduct of team
- Training and development: educating FoH security staff on policies, procedures, emergency response and correct use of security technology and equipment
- Access Control - overseeing verification of credentials for employees, visitors and contractors in order to maintain a secure premises
- Administrative duties including maintaining detailed and accurate records, preparing reports and attending management meetings to discuss security matters.
- To maintain and impart high level of knowledge of the Site Assignment Instructions and Emergency Procedures including - building lock downs, shelter in place, emergency evacuation and first aid response
- Flexibility is key to this role, requiring adaptability to changing schedules, locations, and operational needs including late evenings and weekends to ensure continuity of service beyond the standard business day, such as leading support to late-night client / employee events
- To react positively and professionally and lead others in support of security operations and emergency situations
- Complete satisfactory role probationary assessment as part of personal training and development plan
Operational Duties
- Lead a team to maintain a robust high visibility uniformed security posture in support of Denial/Detering/Detecting crime - reassuring management, staff and visitors that the premises and facilities are safe and secure
- Supervise, monitor and control access, ensuring only authorised personnel are allowed on Bank's demise
- Oversee greeting and assisting staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide directions, guidance, and information to individuals seeking assistance
- Work closely with the London Command Centre (LCC) and all security personnel to ensure seamless coordination and effective response to emergencies
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Supervise and assist in the coordination of special events or functions, ensuring appropriate security measures are in place
- Ensuring maintenance of the highest standards of professionalism at all times
- To proactively observe the outside perimeter, main entrance and ground floor reception areas for suspicious activity and opportunities to assist with colleagues and guests
- To proactively lead team to monitor, observe building demise, recognising suspicious behaviour, threats and safety risk issues and to manage incidents accordingly
- To work as a coordinated team as part of routine duties and immediate response to safety, risk and emergency situations
- Application of SCaN principles - Power of Hello, social media auditors and NPSA guidance commensurate with countering risk of Hostile Reconnaissance
- Have a clear understanding of guidance and response relating to Crowd Control, Trespass & Aggravated Trespass, Static Protest and Protest in Place situations
- Ability to lead a team to support Emergency Response, including maintaining control, provide operational assistance, liaison, and coordination with emergency services
- Event coordination, attending meetings as main point of contact for event security, liaising with event hosts, catering and facilities
- Ability to support in LCC as controller role in times of unusual demand
- To maintain appropriate and timely contact with both the client and Mitie management in accordance with specific instructions and routine duties
- To maintain communications with Global Corporate Security management and London Command Centre (LCC) in support of local and wider regional operations
