Holdco agencies operate complex multi-brand structures with significant scale, diverse client bases, and sophisticated buying processes. Success in this channel requires navigating group governance, aligning solutions with multiple agency brands, and building relationships at both group and operating company level.
Role Overview:
As Senior Agency Sales Lead for Holdco Agencies, you will drive revenue growth through holding company media agencies, with a specific focus on WPP and Publicis. You will develop strategic, high-value partnerships with these enterprise-level organizations, navigating complex group structures and building relationships across multiple agency brands and operating companies. This is a senior, targeted role with significant P&L responsibility, focused on converting large-scale enterprise opportunities that represent major commercial value to Outra.
You will be responsible for understanding how holding companies buy, structure technology partnerships, and evaluate data solutions across their portfolios. You will identify and pursue deals that span multiple agency brands, manage complex procurement and governance processes, and structure enterprise agreements that create mutual value. Your remit is to build Outra's presence as a strategic data partner within the largest agency groups, establishing trusted relationships with key stakeholders (from C-suite through to planning and tech leads) and converting enterprise opportunities into significant, long-term revenue streams.
You will work collaboratively with Outra's marketing, product, and client success teams to tailor solutions to holdco needs, manage strategic accounts, and ensure successful implementations that drive client ROI. Unlike transactional roles, this position requires consultative, relationship-driven selling and comfort with enterprise-level sales cycles that can span 6-12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Own the revenue strategy and targets for holdco agencies (specifically WPP and Publicis in the first instance), developing a strategic plan for account penetration, multi-brand expansion, and long-term partnership depth
Develop deep, C-level relationships with key stakeholders within WPP and Publicis (group technology leads, CMOs, innovation directors, agency heads) and position Outra as a strategic vendor and data partner of choice
Map holding company structures, procurement processes, and decision-making dynamics; understand how group companies evaluate, negotiate, and deploy vendor solutions
Identify and pursue strategic opportunities across multiple agency brands within each holding company (e.g., GroupM, Publicis Media, Publicis Sapient), structuring partnerships that add value across their operating companies
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving group procurement, legal, and financial teams; manage negotiations, commercial structuring, and deal closure at enterprise scale
Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate how Outra's data solutions drive agency competitive advantage, client ROI, and cost efficiency
Manage proof-of-concept implementations, co-work with client success teams to ensure strong early customer outcomes, and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Forecast enterprise pipeline and revenue with accuracy; manage complex, long-cycle deals while maintaining visibility into short to mid-term revenue targets
Partner with marketing and product teams to shape propositions specific to holdco needs (e.g., multi-brand deployment, group-level reporting, white-label options) and co-develop case studies that demonstrate enterprise value
Represent Outra as a senior commercial leader at industry events, conferences, and executive forums within the agency holding company ecosystem
Provide strategic market input on holdco trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities to enhance Outra's enterprise value propositions
Capabilities and Experience
Minimum 8-10 years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with proven success selling complex solutions to holding company agencies, media networks, or large-scale marketing organizations
Direct experience selling into WPP, Publicis, or comparable large agency groups; demonstrated track record of navigating group structures, multiple stakeholders, and procurement processes
Deep understanding of holding company media agency operating models, including how group companies make buying decisions, structure vendor partnerships, and evaluate technology/data solutions
Proven ability to close significant, high-value enterprise deals (typically £100k+) and manage long-term strategic partnerships spanning multiple operating companies
Strong capability in consultative selling, with experience translating complex data-driven, technical, or analytics solutions into clear business value for enterprise clients
Commercial acumen with strong negotiation, deal-structuring, and contract management skills; comfort managing P&L responsibility at high ACV (Annual Contract Value)
Demonstrated ability to influence and build executive-level relationships across multiple stakeholders (procurement, legal, technology, operations, business units)
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences from C-suite to technical teams
Strong understanding of agency economics, media planning and buying workflows, and how agencies measure value from vendor partnerships
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to manage complex, long-cycle deals while maintaining pipeline velocity
Knowledge of UK/European media market structure, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in enterprise data solutions for agencies
