Concrete Repair Technician

Location: Various UK Sites
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience and ability)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

MPS Concrete Solutions Ltd is a specialist contractor delivering high-quality concrete repair, structural maintenance, and remediation services across the UK. We work on a wide range of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, maintaining a strong reputation for safety, quality, and technical expertise.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Concrete Repair Technician to join our skilled site teams.

The Role

As a Concrete Repair Technician at MPS Concrete Solutions, you will be responsible for carrying out repair, restoration, and maintenance works to reinforced concrete structures. The role involves assessing defects, preparing substrates, applying specialist repair materials, and ensuring all works are completed safely and to the highest quality standards.

You will work across multiple sites, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our projects while upholding MPS quality and safety values.

Key Responsibilities

Concrete Repair & Restoration

Inspect and assess concrete defects including cracking, spalling, delamination, and corrosion
Prepare substrates using techniques such as chipping, grinding, saw-cutting, and surface cleaning
Apply cementitious repair mortars, epoxy resins, polymer concretes, and grouts
Carry out crack injection works (epoxy and polyurethane) and surface sealing
Install or repair reinforcement steel where required
Undertake additional works such as coatings, overlays, and specialist repair systems when needed

Technical & Operational

Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialist repair equipment safely
Read and work from drawings, repair plans, and technical specifications
Mix and apply materials in line with manufacturer guidelines
Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet structural, aesthetic, and durability requirements

Health, Safety & Compliance

Work in full compliance with MPS health & safety procedures and site RAMS
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Report hazards, incidents, and near misses in accordance with company procedures

Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in concrete repair, structural maintenance, or construction works
Sound understanding of concrete repair techniques and surface preparation
Competent with hand tools and power tools
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Full UK Driving Licence
CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification

Desirable

NVQ, ICRI, or equivalent concrete repair qualification
Experience with epoxy systems, carbon fibre strengthening, coatings, or waterproofing
Training in working at height, confined spaces, or first aid
Experience working on civil or infrastructure projects
