Are you an experienced peer worker with a passion for delivering training? Would you like to apply your lived and professional experience in peer support to a training context, supporting others across the country? Our Peer & Lived Experience Training Team are expanding, with an opportunity for 2 part time Band 4 Peer Educators to join our training programme. The Training Team has an in-built progression pathway and is part of CNWL's wider peer & lived experience workforce.

The post holder will work with the team to support students in all appropriate areas of training, including course attendance, engagement and assignments.

They will participate in developing the training needs of those employed to use their lived experience in and beyond CNWL, as well as in delivery of peer and lived experience-centred training within and outside of the Trust. They will promote, develop, embed and embody the principles of recovery-focused practice in all areas of their work.

Please note that there are 2 part time roles available (3 days per week). One working day must be a Monday, with the other days to be agreed with the successful candidates. There will be opportunities for office working, with a minimum of 2 days a week to be worked remotely (i.e. from home or another appropriate location).

As part of the peer & lived experience workforce in CNWL, candidates for these posts will need to have their own lived experience of recovery from mental health difficulties and emotional distress, as well as experience as a peer worker (paid or unpaid). The role of the Peer Educator has been developed specifically to work within the Peer & Lived Experience Training Team to assist in the co-delivery and development of training in peer working for individuals working and living in the South East and East of England.

As an integral and highly valued member of the Peer & Lived Experience Training Team, the Peer Educator will positively draw upon your personal experiences of recovery and working in healthcare settings to inspire and educate students.

This role is ideal for someone in a part time peer support worker role who is looking to balance this with an online-facing training position. We are looking for enthusiastic, values-led peer workers to join our peer-powered team in the delivery of our NHS England contract across the South East and East of England.
