Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service at 60 Degrees Coffee. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team in a busy coffee shop environment, with responsibilities spanning staff supervision, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the coffee shop team, including baristas and kitchen staff
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
Manage the ordering and stock control of ingredients and supplies
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly
Organise staff rotas, training schedules, and performance appraisals
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work environment in compliance with health regulations
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to enhance revenue
Support the onboarding of new team members, providing training on food production, serving, and hospitality standards
Work closely with the Manager

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Experience in food safety protocols and maintaining hygiene standards
Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments is desirable
Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specialised coffee techniques
Knowledge of culinary practices, food production processes, and hospitality industry standards is highly valued
