Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of construction painting techniques and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using mainly by hand.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project completion.

Skills

Proficient in construction painting techniques and practices.
Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence for transportation of materials to job sites.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to further their career in the painting and decorating industry while contributing to various projects across different settings.
