Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be capable of diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components.
Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Collaborate with other team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
Repair and maintain vehicles within and above operator licensing requirements
Attend out of hours breakdowns when required
Be present at the yard on Monday morning to deal with any defects, issues and breakdowns.
Be available on Saturday mornings to perform vehicle safety inspections and brake tests.
A service van will be provided for the successful candidate.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
A valid C+E licence
Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or mechanics.
