Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled evening loader to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, operating equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations during evening shifts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with relevant experience to contribute to a dynamic environment, supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
Handle materials, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate techniques
Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Utilise warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory tracking and documentation
Conduct mechanical checks on equipment and report any faults or issues
Support in construction-related tasks as required, including assembly or modification of storage areas
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Skills

Proven experience with forklift operation and warehouse management systems
Strong knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety protocols
Mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience in construction or related fields is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and documentation requirements
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a structured evening shift position within a busy warehouse environment. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to their work.

12pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

Pay: Up to £29,500.00 per year
