Full job description

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Property Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. You will carry out minor repairs, coordinate contractors for specialist works, and help ensure our property portfolio is maintained to a high standard. You’ll also support health & safety compliance across our properties, helping keep tenants, contractors, and colleagues safe. The position works closely with the Lettings & Property Manager and reports to the Head of Property, Development, and Safety, you will play a key role in keeping our tenants happy and our properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant.

Contract: Permanent, full time

Hours: 40 hpw - predominantly Monday to Friday ~ 08:30 – 17:00
Location: Central Support Offices, Maude Street, Kendal
Salary: £30,000

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance.
Coordinate and schedule external contractors for specialist works.
Liaise with tenants and contractors to ensure works are completed efficiently.
Support Health & Safety compliance, including routine checks and working safely with contractors.
Monitor maintenance progress and ensure jobs meet quality and safety standards.
Assist with property inspections and keep accurate maintenance records.

What We’re Looking For:

Practical experience in property maintenance.
Ability to manage small repairs and coordinate contractors.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
Full UK driving licence.
