Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic SKIP HIRE team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Class 2 truck to deliver/ collect skips efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your attention to safety and customer service, will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. This is an exciting opportunity for drivers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in their professional driving skills.

Duties

Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including skip trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
Deliver skips directly to customer sites or designated drop points, providing excellent customer service during each interaction
Follow all company policies and legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation safety
Qualifications
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license
Proven experience as a driver, preferably within the industry
Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for commercial driving
Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes
Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
