Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reception/Administrative Assistant to support our team in a dynamic GP surgery environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and IT skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient based support. This role is essential for maintaining an efficient reception service and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Duties

Provide comprehensive administrative support in various roles.
Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy using various software applications.
Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary.
Demonstrate empathy and understanding when dealing with patients face to face.
Support the team with clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents as required.

Skills

Strong administrative skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Strong computer literacy skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with colleagues and patients.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
