Manager / Assistant Manager / Supervisor / Waiting Staff

Full-time or Part-time
£12.71–£15.00 per hour (depending on experience) + Share of tips (tronc)

The Wensleydale Hotel & The Tack Room Restaurant & Bar is an independent boutique hotel and restaurant located in the heart of the historic market town of Middleham, North Yorkshire.

Following significant investment and continued growth, we are looking to expand our hospitality team and are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and customer-focused individuals to join us.

We're looking for the right people, not just the right job title. Whether you're an experienced Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor looking for your next challenge, or an enthusiastic Waiting or Bar Team Member looking to build a career in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.

Live-in accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding hospitality role where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside a friendly and supportive team to deliver exceptional service across our hotel, restaurant and bar.

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

Delivering warm, friendly and professional restaurant and bar service
Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Welcoming hotel guests and assisting with check-in and check-out
Managing reservations and responding to guest enquiries
Supporting the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the business
Carrying out stock checks and inventory management
Assisting with cellar management and stock rotation
Opening and closing the bar and restaurant
Supporting, coaching and mentoring junior team members (where appropriate)
Working together with colleagues to ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding experience

About You

Have a positive attitude and are willing to learn
Treat guests and colleagues with respect and contribute to a positive and supportive working environment
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals
Are reliable, organised and take pride in their work
Can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
Previous restaurant, bar or hotel experience is preferred, but attitude, personality and a willingness to learn are equally important
