Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team and oversee the creation of exquisite desserts and baked goods. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary experience, exceptional creativity, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the dessert menu, maintain high standards of food safety, and ensure the delivery of outstanding culinary experiences for our guests. The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for managing daily operations within the pastry section, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food production, including preparation, baking, decorating, and presentation.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and visual appeal of all pastry items served.
Manage kitchen operations efficiently during service hours to meet customer expectations.
Keep abreast of current trends in pastry arts and incorporate innovative ideas into menu development.

Skills

Extensive experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, and baking within a professional kitchen environment.
Proven culinary experience with a strong focus on patisserie and dessert creation.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
Leadership qualities with experience in supervising kitchen staff and fostering a positive team environment.
Creativity and passion for developing visually stunning desserts that delight guests.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable to ensure seamless integration into our operational standards.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
