Full job description

Summary

We are seeking a Legal Secretary and Receptionist to join our dynamic legal team.

This is a full-time, in-house role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please note this position is office-based only in Central Manchester with no remote working option available.

The successful candidate will work closely within a team of four with opportunities for growth and expansion in the future.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are available immediately or within a short notice period.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and organising legal files, documents, and correspondence
Providing telephone assistance and handling client enquiries professionally
Assisting with file management and maintaining accurate records
Drafting and proofreading legal documents and letters
Liaising with clients and third parties where required
Supporting solicitors with general administrative duties
Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting arrangements
Handling incoming emails, post, and telephone calls efficiently

Requirements

Previous experience in a legal secretary or administrative role preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Professional and confident telephone manner
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with legal case management systems is advantageous but not essential
