Sprayer
We currently have vacancies for a proactive and qualified Paint Sprayer to join our team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer, preferably in a sheet metal or industrial environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001 standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while following detailed procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and team members.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and precision in all work.
- Comfortable using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Ability to handle and manage paint materials, ensuring proper mixing and application.
- Flexibility to work to production schedules and deadlines.
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Quality Standards: Follow all procedures and systems according to Wilmott Group's quality accreditations (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001).
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required for optimal paint adhesion.
- Paint Application: Select, mix, and apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, ensuring an even, drip-free finish.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain spray guns, spray booths, and other equipment; replace filters and other components as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Always wear appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitoring & Adjustments: Monitor drying times and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality paintwork.
- Collaboration: Work with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and project specifications.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of timesheets, progress reports, and quality checks.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and report any issues or hazards, ensuring they are promptly addressed.
- Maintain High Standards: Ensure all work meets or exceeds specifications, including DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurements.
- Overtime: After 38 hours enhanced pay for overtime.
- Hours: Nights 10pm till 6pm Sunday to Thursday (30% shift allowance).
Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques, equipment, and materials, especially in a sheet metal context.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and an eye for detail in ensuring flawless application and finish.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and find solutions quickly, ensuring minimal delays.
- Time Management: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing work environments and specifications.
- Record Maintenance: Skill in accurately filling out timesheets and production documentation.
- Safety Awareness: In-depth understanding of workplace safety hazards and how to mitigate them.
- Quality Control: Ability to assess the quality of work and ensure compliance with all technical requirements and standards.
