Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in masonry, carpentry, and other related trades within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be committed to safety, precision, and efficiency, contributing to the successful completion of various building projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering.
Mix and apply plaster using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to achieve smooth finishes on walls and ceilings.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
Assist with related tasks such as bricklaying, roofing, or welding as required on-site.
Measure and mark surfaces accurately to ensure precise application of plaster.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, including safe storage of tools and materials.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and masons to coordinate project progress.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised plastering equipment.
Experience with bricklaying, masonry, or carpentry is advantageous.
Knowledge of roofing techniques and welding skills are desirable but not essential.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
Physical fitness for manual labour tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary.
