Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a solid background in food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating an inviting environment for our guests. Previous restaurant, culinary, or hospitality experience is essential, along with supervising capabilities and a keen eye for detail. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise front of house staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Oversee food presentation, serving, and food preparation to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Manage reservations, guest enquiries, and seating arrangements efficiently.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front of house activities.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth food production and timely service.
Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance reviews to foster a motivated team environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the front of house area at all times.
Assist in managing stock levels for service areas, including barista supplies if applicable.
Support the implementation of new policies or procedures aimed at improving overall service quality.

Skills

Proven management and supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation techniques.
Experience in food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including reservation systems and customer service protocols.
Barista experience is desirable for roles involving beverage service.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.
A proactive approach towards problem-solving and maintaining high standards of hospitality excellence.
