Overview

Shift Supervisor

Vertigo Trampoline Park

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Hours: Minimum 25 hours per week

Working Pattern

Wednesday evening – 4.5-hour shift
Saturday – 9:00am to 7:00pm
Sunday – 9:00am to 7:00pm

Additional hours will be available during school holidays, peak trading periods, and to provide holiday and sickness cover where required.

Probationary Period

This role is subject to a 3-month probationary period. Pay and overall performance will be formally reviewed upon successful completion of the probation period.

About the Role

Vertigo Trampoline Park is looking for a reliable, confident and motivated Shift Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of the park and assist the Park Manager in maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service and team performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can lead by example, motivate staff, make decisions independently and ensure the smooth running of the business during busy trading periods.

The Shift Supervisor will be the senior person on site during certain operating periods and will be expected to make operational decisions in the absence of the Park Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a keyholder, opening and closing the park in accordance with company procedures.
Conduct and record daily operational and safety inspections.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the park during assigned shifts.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and enforced at all times.
Lead, support and motivate team members to achieve high standards of performance and customer service.
Monitor staff performance and address minor conduct or performance concerns, escalating where appropriate.
Ensure staff remain productive, professional and compliant with company procedures throughout their shift.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints and issues professionally and effectively.
Resolve operational issues promptly and confidently.
Complete incident reports, safety records and other operational documentation as required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the facility.
Assist with staff training and onboarding where required.
Support the Park Manager and wider business by undertaking other reasonable duties when required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Previous supervisory, team leader or senior staff experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate, organise and lead a small team.
Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and school holidays.
Confident managing staff and maintaining standards in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience within leisure, hospitality, retail or family entertainment environments.
Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
First Aid qualification.
Experience completing safety checks, incident reporting and operational records.
