Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting dental procedures, and assisting the dental team in delivering excellent service. The position offers valuable training opportunities for those looking to develop their career within the dental profession. The successful candidate will be organised, communicative, and passionate about helping patients achieve optimal oral health.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Provide patient care before, during, and after treatments, including explaining procedures and post-care instructions
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence
Uphold high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice environment
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy
Assist in maintaining a smooth workflow within the practice by coordinating appointments and liaising with team members

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare or dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for Trainee Dental Nurses
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Basic IT skills to manage patient records and practice management software
Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain a tidy workspace
Patient care experience or background in nursing is advantageous but not mandatory for trainees; a willingness to learn is essential
Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
