Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza & Pasta Chef to join our vibrant, newly refitted independent restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on creating high-quality pizzas, pastas and Italian food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic pizzas & pastas according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough, sauces, and toppings
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
Serve food efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within an Italian restaurant or similar setting
Knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pizza making and Italian food
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
