Step Into the Night Shift That Keeps Britain Moving - Operations Manager Nights – Airdrie!
Reports to: Depot General Manager

Ready to lead from the front when it matters most? Join Evri’s Depot Night Team in Airdrie and take charge of a fast-paced, high-impact operation where every shift delivers real results. The Role
As an Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our night operation, leading warehouse, transport, and van network performance. Working any 5 nights over 7 (typically 22:00 – 09:00, depending on volumes), you’ll ensure the depot runs efficiently, safely, and on budget.
You’ll partner closely with Hubs, Transport, and Delivery teams to deliver an end-to-end service, while supporting and deputising for the Depot General Manager. From managing costs and driving productivity, to developing your team and ensuring compliance—you’ll have the autonomy to make a real difference every shift.
Responsibilities

Deliver the depot operational plan in line with budget, forecasted volumes, and performance targets
Drive productivity and manage costs including labour, resource planning, and cost-per-unit (CPU)
Maintain high operational standards through compliance with 5S, H&S, and quality audits
Ensure high scanning compliance across inbound, outbound, and driver operations
Support transport compliance including driver rotas and Working Time Directive adherence
Lead and develop your team across recruitment, performance, engagement, and employee relations

Full UK Driving Licence, CPC National Certificate, and IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
Proven experience managing large teams in a 24/7 fast-paced logistics or operational environment
Strong understanding of transport regulations, SLAs, and operational processes
Confidence using Excel and MI tools to drive performance and decision-making
Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills
Resilience, commercial awareness, and the ability to perform under pressure
