Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a flair for creating stylish and personalised looks, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming salon environment. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a vibrant beauty setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a range of hair styling services, including colouring, cutting, and specialised treatments, while also engaging with clients to ensure their satisfaction. Experience in store management, barbering, eyelash extensions, and makeup application are highly desirable. A friendly demeanour, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell services will contribute to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional hair styling services including cutting, colouring, blow-drying, and specialised treatments tailored to client preferences
Provide additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application as required
Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and maintaining a welcoming environment
Upsell products and services to enhance client experience and maximise revenue opportunities
Offer mentoring and guidance to junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the salon
Build strong relationships with clients through personalised advice and exceptional customer service
Assist with store management tasks when necessary to ensure smooth daily operations

Experience

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist in a professional salon environment
Skills in barbering, eyelash extensions, and makeup application are advantageous
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
Experience in store management or supervisory roles is beneficial but not essential
Demonstrated ability to upsell services and products confidently
Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to mentor junior staff members
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
