Full job description

ICTUK is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Technician to join the Paper Mill team.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team providing technical support to Paper Mill Operations to produce a quality product in an efficient, safe and cost-effective way.

Role Responsibilities

Support the Production Operation by testing, monitoring and reporting stock and water consistencies across a range of processes
Ensure that water and effluent daily meter readings are taken and recorded in a timely manner and assist with water and effluent efficiency on a monthly basis.
Monitor and control boiler chemistry keeping records up to date
Responsible for the maintenance, calibration and operation of the effluent sampler
Arrange and manage the sampling regime, including samples such as composite effluent, storm water, skip moistures and prescribed substances
Oversee any contractors ensuring that all work is completed safely and according to site rules and procedures
Adapt to any changes in operating procedures and equipment that are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the plant and equipment under your control
To actively participate, communicate and feedback on any trial/development/CAPEX work to enhance the performance of the operation

Required knowledge Experience

Effluent plant operations
Industrial boiler maintenance
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes
IT literacy including Microsoft word, Excel etc
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
