Full job description

We're looking for a fine Chef de Partie to join us at Odyssey Dining. Full-time, 48h per week, no early mornings, no late nights. Competitive wage, fun and respectful environment. Lots of opportunities to grow. The kitchen is in South Wimbledon (SW19).

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team on a one of a kind private aviation catering curated by Two Michelin-Starred Chef, Jordan Bailey. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with our established recipes and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, contributing to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have prior kitchen experience, a passion for food preparation, and a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
Monitor food quality and presentation throughout the cooking process
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Support in stock rotation, inventory management, and restocking supplies as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A genuine passion for food service and delivering high-quality dishes

This role is ideal for individuals eager to refine their culinary expertise while contributing positively to our team. We value professionalism, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in the kitchen.

48h per week, working on 5 out of 7 days on a rota system. Extra hours paid for.
