Are you an experienced and dedicated professional in the field of adult social care, looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a forward-thinking local authority? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Locality Manager - East and Reviews to join our Adult Social Care Service, reporting to the Service Manager, to lead and manage the delivery of high-quality care and support services to our local community.

About the Role

As the Locality Manager - East and Reviews, you will play a key role in the management and operation of the Adult Social Care Service, ensuring the effective delivery of care and support to individuals within the East locality and those requiring review and assessment services. You will be responsible for:

Leading a team of skilled professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are met
Overseeing the assessment and review process, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions for service users
Collaborating with external providers and agencies to ensure seamless care pathways
Monitoring and evaluating the quality of services delivered, implementing improvements where necessary
Contributing to the overall strategic development of the Adult Social Care Service

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be involved in:

Attending and contributing to senior management meetings
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
Managing budgets and resources effectively

This is a fixed term role until 31.03.2027 (Interim support, short term

organisational change)

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Significant experience working within adult social care, with a strong understanding of the challenges and complexities involved
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders
Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities, with the capacity to manage competing demands
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in adult social care

Additionally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW) and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g. HCPC).
