Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a reliable Accounts Senior to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting the practice with day-to-day bookkeeping, client accounts, and routine accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is organised, numerate, and comfortable working with accounting software.

Responsibilities

Assist with some bookkeeping clients
Prepare VAT returns and assist with VAT record keeping.
Manage payroll processing and pension auto-enrolment tasks.
Assist with some CIS Returns
Assist with preparation of Accounts and Tax Returns.
Communicate with clients to resolve queries and gather information.
Support senior accountants.
Manage MTD for the practice

Skills and Experience

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and external parties.
Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
Payroll experience to a high level
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Depends on experience – starting salary over £28,000

Hours:

· Full or part time.

· Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm, Friday 9am to 2pm

· In person at our Newton Abbot office
