Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time commi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in a professional kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a welcoming dining experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in a fast-paced setting, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer preferences
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet service standards
Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers when required
Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and accidents within the kitchen
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is desirable but not essential
A genuine passion for culinary arts and customer service
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends Shifts are Tuesay, wednesday, sat & sunday 8:30 start 3:30 finish
