HGV Driver - 8 Wheel Tipper (Prudhoe) | Low Prudhoe

At Ashcourt Group, this 8 Wheel Tipper driving position is based in Low Prudhoe—and it's all about combining excellent driving with a can-do attitude on the road and around site.

This is a role for an HGV driver who enjoys responsibility, understands the importance of safe operations, and values consistency. You'll be transporting and tipping materials as part of the day-to-day movement required to keep projects moving. Whether you're an experienced wheel tipper driver or a confident HGV driver looking to build your specialist capability, you'll find a team that supports you and expects quality.

What you'll be doing

Operate an HGV wheel tipper safely and efficiently, delivering materials to required locations.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
Tipping and loading operations with care, accuracy and attention to site requirements.
Follow all traffic, safety and working practices on both public roads and customer sites.
Maintain good timekeeping and keep accurate records where required.
Communicate professionally with transport/ops colleagues and site contacts to keep work flowing.

What we're looking for

We're interested in drivers who have a strong safety mindset and a practical approach. If you've got the right attitude and can demonstrate reliability, you'll be in good company.

Valid HGV licence with appropriate entitlement to drive the vehicle type.
Experience driving a wheel tipper is preferred (but we will consider capable drivers who can demonstrate relevant experience and willingness to learn).
A strong understanding of driving safety, loading/tipping awareness and compliance.
Good communication skills and the confidence to represent the business on site.
Reliability and commitment—you turn up prepared, you work safely, and you complete tasks to a good standard.
Respect for equipment and colleagues, including a "look after it" approach to the vehicle.
