Are you an experienced cook with a dedication to always serving the tastiest meals? Do you want to make even more of a difference with all the flavours you can bring to the table? (pun intended!)

The exceptional team at Rosewood Manor is currently looking for a Cook to support them on a full time, permanent basis. Rosewood Manor is a new, elegant and classy 70 bed home situated in the idyllic market town of Market Harborough, purposefully built for its residents (equipped with its very own gin bar!) providing residential and specialist dementia care.

Providing residential and specialist dementia care to their residents, your primary focus will be to blow their tastebuds by preparing meals that are delicious, comforting and prepared fabulously.

What’s in it for our new Cook?

Pay Rate; £13.32 per hour
34 hours per week, guaranteed hours on a permanent contract
Shifts run on a 6 weekly rolling rota (making it easy for you to plan that work/life balance!)
Based in Market Harborough, LE16 9BZ

What your daily duties may consist of as our new Cook;

Plan, prepare and cook a variety of meals that are appealing, nutritious and individual to the residents’ like and dislikes, keeping in mind any dietary requirements
Implement, monitor and maintain cleaning schedules, joining in with the washing up of pots, pans, and dishes and ensuring the kitchen is immaculate
Actively engaging with residents in conversation and meaningful activities related to their lifestyle choices, understanding their likes/dislikes and beliefs.
To cater for ad hoc functions held within the home i.e. Home parties, resident birthday celebrations, etc.
Maintaining food stocks and reordering where needed
To comply with all Health and Safety regulations including Food Hygiene and C.O.S.H.H. regulations and ensure compliance from all kitchen staff.

What we are ideally looking for in a Cook;

Previous experience of catering for a minimum of 25 covers
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
COSHH training and understanding of HACCP
Ability to plan and prepare creature comforts such as cottage pie, as well as bring new and tasty ideas to the menu
Have caring, calm and compassionate nature, with the ability to communicate with others on various levels
