Full job description

Job Description

We are a well established construction firm, specialising in civil engineering and groundworks for large commercial developments. We work with some of the UK’s leading commercial developers, delivering projects on time and to high standards.

To join our team, you must be motivated, eager to learn, and possess the skills required to succeed in an accounting environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Raising purchase orders and processing invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, and hire/off-hire documentation
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies prior to payment deadlines
Accurately inputting data into the accounting system (Xero) in a timely manner
Conducting supplier due diligence checks and ensuring records are maintained and up to date
Helping with any other queries or tasks that are essential to the day to day running of the service
Managing and responding to emails, ensuring queries are handled professionally and promptly
Collaborating effectively with team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, staff, and management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint
Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience using accounting software and relevant qualifications in accounting are desirable, however training will also be provided.

Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.

Working Hours– Monday to Friday 8 :30AM-4:30 PM

Location - Northampton, NN1 4EU
