Job Description:
Supervisor – Telecom Operations

Com Telecom is looking for a Supervisor to support and oversee field operations within our telecom cable recovery and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high safety standards, and providing technical and operational support to teams working across the network.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all operational activities, including communicating safety requirements.
Train, oversee, and support new starters in the field.
Actively monitor and support operatives and subcontractors during daily operations.
Participate in operational meetings and contribute to planning and delivery.
Carry out administrative tasks related to operations when required.
Manage and oversee the inventory of tools, equipment, and PPE.
Perform cable testing and cutting where necessary to support subcontractors and operational teams.
Coordinate vehicle and winch breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new subcontractors.
Assist with logistics tasks, including delivering equipment, yard duties, and moving vehicles or winches for servicing and repairs.
Provide night shift cover when required.

Requirements

Experience in telecommunications field operations (cable recovery, jointing, or network infrastructure preferred).
Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.

Salary: between £40,000 to £45,000 per year (depending on experience)
