Junior Contracts Manager – Flat Roofing

(Ideal for Experienced Flat Roofers Moving Off the Tools)

Salary: From £45,000 per year

Flat roofing experience is essential for this role.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting within our Flat Roofing Department to develop the next generation of Contracts Managers.

You will join us as a Junior Contracts Manager, working directly alongside experienced Contracts Managers and Project Managers. This structured role is designed to transition skilled flat roofers off the tools and into a management position, with the aim of progressing to Contracts Manager within approximately two years.

You will support multiple projects of varying size and complexity across the UK, with weekly attendance at our Bedford head office for contract meetings. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.

Key Responsibilities

Support Project Managers and Contracts Managers to ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Waste Management policies

Assist in the delivery of projects in line with technical drawings, specifications, and programme requirements

Ensure works comply with Building Regulations and warranty provider standards

Coordinate with sub‑contractors and supply chain partners

Assist with material planning and organisation

Monitor site progress and escalate any issues that could impact programme, quality, or cost

Liaise with Site Managers and Senior Contracts Managers regarding project performance

Essential Requirements

✅ Proven flat roofing experience (required to apply)

✅ Background working on refurbishment or construction projects

✅ Full UK driving licence (essential)

✅ Comfortable working at heights

✅ Strong attention to detail

✅ Motivated, reliable, and keen to develop management skills

✅ Willing to travel nationally and attend weekly meetings in Bedford

(DBS will be arranged by the company)
