TMC Distribution Ltd is a leading provider of same day, express and specialist transport solutions, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year across the UK and Europe. Built on reliability, responsiveness and exceptional service, we support a diverse customer base with time-critical logistics solutions delivered to the highest standards.

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Operations team and creating an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious and driven Operations Co-ordinator to join the business. This is a role where you can genuinely make an impact, contribute to operational success and grow within a fast-paced and evolving company.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual with excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability and a solutions-focused approach. You will thrive in a high-pressure logistics environment, be confident making decisions quickly and possess the ability to prioritise effectively while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

This position would suit someone with previous experience in express logistics, transport planning or road freight operations who is looking to progress their career within a professional and supportive business.

Key Responsibilities

Providing competitive quotations for UK and European dedicated van and truck movements
Planning and coordinating UK and European express transport solutions
Managing export and import dedicated vehicle movements
Coordinating drivers, subcontractors and third-party suppliers
Building strong relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service levels
Monitoring operational performance and resolving issues efficiently
Ensuring high standards of communication, accuracy and customer care at all times

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience within transport planning, express logistics or road freight operations
Strong UK and European geographical knowledge
Commercial awareness with the ability to make sound operational decisions
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Self-motivated, adaptable and able to use initiative confidently
