Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive their prescribed medicines safely and efficiently. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is highly desirable, along with a commitment to patient-centred service. Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
Maintain precise records of dispensed medicines and update patient profiles accordingly
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations at all times
Support inventory management by checking stock levels, organising supplies, and placing orders when necessary
Assist with medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
Deliver exceptional patient care by addressing queries and offering professional advice on medication-related matters

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is preferred
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and record-keeping procedures
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy
