Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work at heights. Applicants should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction experience to develop their skills in a specialised trade.

Duties

Install new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, shingles, or metal sheets in accordance with project specifications.
Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure correct installation procedures.
Use welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as needed for specialised roofing projects.
Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean work site by organising tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
Adhere to all safety protocols when working at heights or around hazardous materials.

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing projects.
Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other construction trades is advantageous.
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices.
Competent with power tools including drills, saws, nail guns, and grinders.
Knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques specific to different types of roofs.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in demanding physical environments.
Strong understanding of safety standards related to working at heights and around construction sites.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and installations.

Pay: £150.00-£250.00 per day
