Are you passionate about improving the safety, quality, and availability of medical devices across acute and community settings? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where your leadership directly supports patient care? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We are recruiting a Band 5 Medical Device Service Support Manager to provide essential leadership and operational oversight to our expanding Medical Equipment Library Service. This service currently supports three acute sites and associated community services, and will grow further to include Salford in 2026.

This is a pivotal role that ensures the safe, effective, and timely provision of medical devices to clinical teams—supporting patient flow, reducing delays, and maintaining compliance with CQC Regulations 12 & 15 and MHRA Managing Medical Devices guidance.

You will line‑manage and support a band 4 and our team of Band 3 Equipment Librarians, ensuring high standards of practice, robust quality checks, and efficient service delivery.

Providing day‑to‑day leadership and supervision to the Medical Equipment Library team

Ensuring devices are appropriately checked, decontaminated, and issued safely

Monitoring and improving KPIs, including operational capacity and device turnaround

Supporting staff development, wellbeing, and succession planning

Maintaining compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements

Contributing to service expansion and continuous improvement initiatives

Working closely with the NCA Medical Device Governance and Library Coordinator and wider Medical Device Service teams
