Rangeford Villages develops and operates integrated retirement communities for people aged over 60. We create exciting, innovative and contemporary villages for owners to live life to the full, with a wide range of leisure activities, services, support and care. Strawberry Fields is set among beautifully landscaped gardens near Stapleford in Greater Cambridge. Strawberry Fields is newest village in the Rangeford portfolio and will provide an exciting and dynamic environment for our owners who will have access to a multitude of facilities including a restaurant, bar, spa and swimming pool.

We put our customers at the heart of everything we do, serving fantastic food and drink with an emphasis on warm, friendly & fun service. We are looking for team members to join our brand new restaurant and have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Restaurant Assistant

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a customer focussed individual as you will be required to provide a friendly and courteous service in all areas of our restaurant and bar.

Responsibilities:

To serve customers in an efficient, polite, professional, friendly and open way to maximise their enjoyment of the visit.
To set up and prepare for service.
To ensure that all equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen is properly cared for and maintained at the required level of cleanliness and hygiene.
To have a thorough knowledge of the menu and to be able to describe dishes to customers.
To take customer orders accurately and to follow through all the steps of service to ensure customers have everything they need

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a restaurant, bistro or public house would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided

Hours and any other restrictions

This is a full time position 37.5 hours a week and will be on a rota basis and will include weekends and some evenings (no late service)
