Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within our café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the smooth running of daily operations. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop barista skills whilst working in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer queries, and provide friendly, efficient service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation and service.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system; manage basic maths for change and sales reconciliation.
Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Keep the work area clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout shifts.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience and efficient operation of the café.

Skills

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen duties when needed.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods effectively.
Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage with customers confidently.
