Key Responsibilities

Lead the daily operation of the Preschool Room, ensuring high-quality care and education at all times.
Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS and children's individual interests and developmental needs.
Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and educational development, with a particular focus on school readiness.
Monitor, assess, and report children's progress, ensuring observations and learning records are accurate and meaningful.
Act as a key person and support other team members in fulfilling their key person responsibilities.
Ensure the room environment is stimulating, inclusive, well-organised, and promotes independent learning.
Lead and inspire a team of practitioners, providing support, guidance, and role modelling best practice.
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information and supporting children's learning journey.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed and embedded in practice.
Work closely with management to maintain high standards and contribute to continuous improvement across the nursery.
Support preparations for inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
Previous experience working within a preschool room or similar early years setting.
Experience leading a room or supervising staff is desirable but not essential
Strong knowledge of the EYFS, child development, safeguarding, and inclusive practice.
Confidence in supporting and motivating a team.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
A genuine passion for helping children thrive and reach their full potential.
