Mad Swans is looking for full-time, part-time and weekend Housekeepers to join our budding team. You’ll be the first person to step into these shoes and shape this brand-new role based at our first site: Mad Swans in the Mendips.

Social play spanning Padel Tennis, Pickleball, Darts, Shuffleboard and Golf gives guests the chance to explore one game or sample them all, across a few hours, a day, or a long weekend. We’re all about great food, which is why we’ve teamed up with experts in their field to create two distinct dining experiences and endless ways to enjoy them. The Potting Shed proudly boasts a menu of refreshing takes on Brasserie classics while, in The Hangout, the focus is on shareable plates with no compromise on flavour. But wherever guests find themselves, from course to court, the meadow to the orchard, they’re never far from a plate of something delicious to satisfy any craving. And, for evenings that go on forever, an Eco Cabin for the night is only a starlit walk through the wilderness away.

What there is to it

You’ll be joining a lively and passionate housekeeping team with a positive and warm attitude from day one.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

Cleaning and re-setting Cabins
Changing bed linen and towels
Stocking and maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies
Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
Scrubbing and sanitising showers, bathtubs, toilets, countertops and sinks
Vacuuming/mopping all areas including public areas
Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs
Positively engage and interact with guests
Assist guests with any questions and queries
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly, escalating to the Housekeeping Manager, if necessary
Building rapport with regular guests, fostering a welcoming and loyal customer base

There is an element of physical work which will involve lifting, carrying and moving linen and supplies to and from each Cabin. Although this role is predominantly working inside Cabins, our Housekeepers will also be required to be outside as they move between and service each Cabin throughout the day.

There are a number of full-time, part-time and weekend positions. Full time positions will work any five days out of seven. Earnings to £11.65/hour to £13.50/hour, including TRONC (Tips), depending on age.

Location – this is an onsite role and will be located at Mad Swans in the Mendips, Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS.

Working Hours – shift times will vary throughout the week; however, the operational times will be from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Working Days – your working days will depend on if you work full-time, part-time or weekend. Full-time members of the team will be required to work any five days out of seven and will involve working on weekends on a regular basis. Working hours will vary in line with the operating calendar and needs of the business.

We are looking for Housekeepers who are:

Passionate about ensuring our Cabins and guest facing areas are clean and immaculate at all times
Detail orientated
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about delivering excellent guest service
Comfortable working in clusters of Cabins which are spread out
An excellent communicator
Organised and able to multi-task
Happy to be hands-on and assist with the day-to-day duties as part of a small team
Highly motivated
Proactive, positive and resilient by nature
Solutions driven
Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
