Full job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a versatile and hardworking No2 Mechanic to join the Engineering team at Brands Hatch. This role will involve working within a small team, assisting with maintenance our fleet of high performance single seater race cars, 4x4's, Caterhams and Rally specced Toyota GT86s as well as a whole host of site maintenance vehicles, to ensure we deliver market leading retail and corporate motor racing events.

Jobs duties will include:

Assisting the team conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of our high-performance vehicles used for our corporate and retail events
Ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the correct specification
Working with our Engineering team to determine the source of machinery problems and work to solve issues efficiently
Working as part of our wider Engineering team to complete large scale rebuilds
Ensuring that any paperwork is processed in accordance with the correct procedures
Cleaning of vehicles inside and out so they are presented back for use in pristine condition after any work on them is complete
Ensuring the workshop is clean and properly maintained at all times
Being aware of, and ensuring compliance with, all relevant Health and Safety acts and guidance

You will have:

A good understanding of mechanical engineering either already with or working towards a recognised qualification i.e. City and Guilds or a Level 3 equivalent.
Full UK driving licence
Pride in your work and want to complete tasks to the best of your ability
A track record of meeting strict deadlines
Willingness to work weekends as part of a rota

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a unique environment with high performance race cars, without the requirement of travelling. Due to our location and duties within the role, you do require a full UK driving licence to apply.

To fit around college commitments, we are happy to consider applicants currently studying Level 3 Motorsport Engineering. The role can begin on a part-time basis alongside your studies, with the opportunity to progress to full-time once you have completed your course.
