Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable Bartender/Receptionist to join our team. The role will be primarily based at The Vine Hotel - Stafford, with occasional shifts at The Swan Inn - Telford.

The successful candidate must be over 18, hold a full driving licence, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Once fully trained, you will be expected to confidently manage lone working shifts.

We are seeking a highly professional individual who thrives in a family-oriented team environment and is willing to take on a variety of responsibilities across our operations. This is a multi-skilled role that includes:

Reception duties
Bar service
Waiting on tables
Housekeeping
General pub operations

You will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards across all areas of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a broad skill set within the hospitality industry while contributing to a positive and memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide assistance throughout their stay
Answer guest enquiries courteously via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring smooth operations
Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of common areas to uphold high standards of hospitality
Coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs promptly and efficiently
Handle guest requests with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring guest satisfaction
Support the team during busy periods by performing additional duties as required
Ensuring our rooms are clean and refreshed for the next guest.
Serving beverages and taking food orders.
Waiting on in our restaurant areas.
Preparing and constructing dessert dishes in our kitchen.

Experience

Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of guest services procedures and hospitality standards is advantageous
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions
Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service best practices is beneficial
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills is an asset

Pay: £12.71 per hour
