Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and hospitality, and a proven track record in managing food service establishments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.

The candidate will need to have some kitchen experience as cooking will be a large part of the requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Supervise and motivate team members, including baristas, kitchen staff, and servers, to deliver outstanding service
Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality in line with company standards
Coordinate daily tasks such as cooking, food preparation, serving customers, and ensuring timely delivery of orders
Implement health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices
Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures
Develop staff training programmes to enhance skills in food safety, customer service, and culinary techniques
Foster a welcoming environment that promotes excellent hospitality and customer satisfaction
Prepare buffets for collection and delivery
Develop and maintain a strong social media presence for the cafe

Qualifications

Proven management or supervisory experience within a restaurant or café setting
Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Experience in food preparation, serving, and barista roles is highly desirable
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Background in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred
Demonstrated experience in supervising staff within a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with health & safety standards relevant to the food industry

Monday to Friday 8:30-3pm

Pay: £22,500.00 per year
