Pre-School Practitioner L3 Early Years Qualified

PART-TIME: 15-24hours a week over 2/3 days (with potential Half-Term holiday clubs)

You will be working with a highly experienced supportive, caring and passionate team dedicated to Early Years education.

The Lenches Pre-school provides outdoor focused high quality early years education for children between 2-4 years old. We are a small Committee led village Pre-School set in the heart of The Lenches villages and amongst some of the most stunning rural surroundings in Worcestershire. We encourage outdoor learning and have access to a beautiful community orchard where we hold our forest school sessions. We also have our own outdoor facility curiosity corner, the local parish playground, and access to the local village lakes.

The Lenches Pre-school is a charity setting meaning everything we do is for the benefit of the children and their families. We offer Forest School once a week, Funics sessions for Pre-schoolers, and a wellness garden with a log cabin to support children's wellbeing.

We reinvest into the setting and are able to offer families and the team a high adult to child ratio.

We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our small team who has a passion for outdoor early years learning. Any applicant will need to have a working knowledge of the reformed Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework with a particular focus on the quality of education.

This is a permanent position during term time with the option to work additional holiday clubs during half terms. The start and finish times are negotiable between 8.30 and 16.30 Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be working with children between 2-4 years old providing a caring, creative environment and professional learning opportunities. L3 qualification and previous early years’ experience and strong Safeguarding knowledge is essential. Additional training and full induction and uniform is provided.

This is a real opportunity to work with our wonderful team of experienced, committed, supportive Early Years Practitioners.

The Lenches Pre-school are committed to safeguarding and the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) check.

Job Type:

Term-time, Monday-Friday setting. PART-TIME positions available.

3 months probation period followed by contract

Expected start date: September 2026

Interviews: Held within setting.

This is a rare opportunity to work in a small committee led Pre-school and have a real impact on our early years setting.

Purpose of the job: To work as a key person and as part of the Pre-school team under the direction of the Manager. To provide safe, high quality early years education and care for children that meets their individual needs.

The successful candidate will have:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
Commitment to young children and families.
Some experience working with young children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Ability to work well within a team and be proactive
Enthusiastic about outdoor learning
Ideally Paediatric First Aid trained
