The Role:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective storage of all goods.

The role involves managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving continuous operational improvements to meet customer and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

Manage all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and resources.
Monitor and improve warehouse productivity and performance.
Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control processes
Compliance with FIFO
Conduct / assist in regular stock counts and audits as required
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Ensure stock is stored correctly and accessible when required

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, supervise, and develop warehouse staff
Maintain compliance with all company HR policies and procedures
Manage employee performance, attendance, and productivity
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
Foster a positive and safety-focused working environment

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
Ensure all equipment inspections and maintenance schedules are adhered to
Ensure all FLT Operators comply with safety and equipment checks

Customer Service & Quality

Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Address operational issues and customer concerns promptly
Maintain high standards of quality throughout warehouse processes

Reporting & Administration

Produce warehouse performance reports and KPIs as required
Liaise with transport, logistics, and customer service teams

Requirements:

Valid FLT Licence
Warehouse Management experience
Good communicator

Licence/Certification:

Forklift Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
