Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drinks service, including cocktails, and team management within a restaurant or hotel environment. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a thorough understanding of food safety standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. This is a paid position offering opportunities for professional growth within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of bar operations, and beverage service, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Supervise and lead a team of bar staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the premises.
Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating innovative drink options and food pairings.
Train new staff members on service protocols, health & safety procedures, and product knowledge.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours while maintaining labour costs.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in Cocktails, wines and bar service.
Experience in managing teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Familiarity with serving procedures, hospitality etiquette, and customer service excellence.
Previous experience in bar management is advantageous however we will consider someone looking to take the next step in their career.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Demonstrated competence in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality experiences while leading a vibrant team within our establishment.
