Full job description

Afterschool Club Assistant (Term Time Only)

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM (Term Time Only)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our small team providing afterschool care for primary school-aged children.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all children in the group are well cared for and their individual needs are met.
Engage in play and activities with the children, ensuring they have a fun and enjoyable experiences
Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
Assist in the preparation and serving of snacks.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for children and staff, adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.
Work collaboratively with the entire team to support the smooth running of the setting.
Help with the setup and tidying away of resources and equipment, ensuring hygiene, health & safety, and infection control standards are consistently maintained.

Desirable:

A relevant Playwork qualification is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience working with children across a range of ages and backgrounds.

Training:
We are committed to staff development and will provide training opportunities for the successful candidate.
