Salary: £30,000 - £32'500 basic (DOE) + uncapped commission (OTE £60,000+)
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Type: Full‑time, permanent – office‑based (no remote / hybrid working)

Seawork is Europe’s leading commercial marine and workboat exhibition, bringing together senior decision‑makers from across the global maritime sector to source equipment, services and vessels in one place, at one time.

It is a long‑established, respected event with a loyal exhibitor base and a broad commercial portfolio delivered year‑round and showcased live on the quayside at Mayflower Park in Southampton.

The Role

This is a professional B2B sales role for an experienced salesperson who enjoys operating in an office‑based, phone‑led environment.

You will own a defined sales territory and sell across a broad portfolio including:

Exhibition space
Sponsorship
Media products

Sales activity is predominantly delivered via phone, supported by email, LinkedIn and team calls. Attendance is focused on Mercator’s own events, with occasional wider industry events. Client visits are rare and typically local.

Commercial Activity & KPIs

Predominantly phone‑led selling
A key KPI of 1.5 hours per day of call time within a 7.5‑hour working day
Call time is time‑based, not dial‑count based – quality of conversation matters
Calls combine:
Outbound prospecting
Account management and development
Upsell and cross‑sell activity
Existing client check‑ins & customer service within your territory
Supported by proposal writing, pipeline management and follow‑ups

This is not high‑volume scripted telesales, it is structured, disciplined B2B consultative selling.

Who This Role Is For

Experience in events, exhibitions, media, advertising or sponsorship is highly desirable
Happy working full‑time from the office in Fareham
