Location: Warton – Hybrid, 3 days per week on site minimum – You will be working across both Warton & Samlesbury sites

Job Description:

As an Assistant FP&A Accountant, you will support the delivery of high‑quality, forward‑looking financial analysis and insights that help drive business performance. Working within a collaborative FP&A team, you will contribute to forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement of data‑driven processes. Your role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of contracts, enabling you to build a robust understanding of business performance while supporting the Senior FP&A Accountant in delivering clear, insightful financial outputs.

Core duties:

Support delivery of financial outputs, including monthly forecasts, across a varied portfolio of contracts
Work with colleagues across finance and operations to ensure financial information aligns with operational performance
Monitor monthly actuals and interpret variances against forecast positions, highlighting key drivers
Contribute to the preparation of presentation packs for senior officials performance reviews
Support improvement strategies, including use of tools such as Power BI and AI to enhance reporting and insights

Essential Skills:

Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience, progressing toward qualification
Considerable analytical capability, with experience working with data, identifying trends, and supporting performance insights
Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, to interpret data and present outputs clearly
Experience working with colleagues across teams to align financial and operational information while supporting process improvements

The FP&A Business Performance Team:

You will be part of a collaborative team, supporting with providing timely, data‑led insights. The team works across a varied contract portfolio, partnering with finance and operational colleagues to improve reporting, enhance processes, and deliver meaningful performance analysis.
