Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating forklifts to handle materials, load and unload shipments, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Your mechanical aptitude and safety awareness will contribute to maintaining a productive and secure environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics process, supporting timely deliveries and inventory accuracy.

Duties

Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and shipping areas
Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklift safety and functionality
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and retrieval according to safety standards
Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Support warehouse operations by participating in stock counts, inventory audits, and cycle counts

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of equipment
Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and safety protocols
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and weights
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of standing or walking
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure accurate processing of goods
